Vicki Briggs - Library CoordinatorVicki Briggs - FBC The Colony Library Coordinator

History

Hazel Spire founded the current library that FBC The Colony offers.  She began a system to collect books and decorate a display area to highlight some of the books monthly. Carolyn offered to help out whenever Hazel needed a hand.  Some time afterward, Hazel asked if Carolyn Cheney wanted to take over the library as her time was now devoted to teaching full-time.  For the 3 years Carolyn served in this position (Thank you Carolyn for you dedication and hard work). Now the hat has passed on to Vicki Briggs as the FBCTC Library Coordinator.   Jennifer Gibbs will be assisting her.

Policy

There are so many ways that this library can be utilized and enjoyed.  FBC The Colony asks that if any of you would like to see more of certain Christian books and/or authors, please let Vicki know or contact us and we will give her the information. She and FBCTC will make every effort to fulfill your request.

Also, if you wish to donate any books to the library it would be greatly appreciated. Current Christian books for children are especially needed.

Please note that all donations are screened to ensure that the books are benefitting to our members.  Items that are not in agreement with the beliefs of FBCTC are kindly returned to the original owner or recycled.

Procedure

The library inventory is currently in rooms 2101 and 2105 with the Spotlight books on display in the Welcome Center in the foyer of the church.

The loan out procedure is currently under the honor system. Please read the book and enjoy at your leisure, but return it as soon as you are through with it.

Books in the Spotlight

Monthly, there are books that will be chosen for the spotlight to display in the church foyer.

- There will be a list of these in the near future-
